Not that the beautiful game needs fixing, but there are a few small tweaks that could enhance the entertainment value. Here are seven new rules that would increase the viewing experience.
2020 NFL Power Rankings Week 8
Here at the ICT Zone, our power rankings are based on a very simple philosophy. "To be the man you gotta beat the man", if a lower ranked team beats a higher ranked team, then the two teams automatically swap spots regardless of results from prior weeks.
Last week the Raiders spent a second week at the top but relinquish that position to the Buccaneers after this loss. The Bucs play the Giants this week, so that's a guaranteed second week at the top of the rankings. Outside of that, the NFC East strengthened its reputation as potentially the worst single season by an NFL division in history. We could have a 4 win playoff team thanks to the NFC East.
The Seahawks-Buccaneers matchup gave us exactly what we wanted and then some, hopefully this week's matchup of the Steelers and the Ravens can do the same.
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers +8
(5-2)
Tom Brady is 43 years old, this is wild.
2. Baltimore Ravens
(5-1)
This game against the Steelers will tell us a lot.
3. Arizona Cardinals +15
(5-2)
This team is elite but not quite there, Superbowl window officially opens next season.
4. Kansas City Chiefs +4
(6-1)
Starting to show signs of a team that can win any style of game, that's huge.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers
(6-0)
I know I'm supposed to apologize now . . . but nah, this team is still overrated.
7. New Orleans Saints
(4-2)
Every win is hard to come by these days.
8. Denver Broncos -4
(2-4)
I have not seen a more stagnant franchise over the last 5 years than this one.
9. Las Vegas Raiders -8
(3-3)
This is still a better season that anyone expected.
10. Buffalo Bills
(5-2)
Looks like we already have new AFC East champions.
11. Detroit Lions
(3-3)
Matt Stafford's career is the most difficult to analyze of any high caliber quarterback.
12. Cleveland Browns
(5-2)
Baker Mayfield just turned a career corner for the better, I stand by that.
13. Indianapolis Colts
(4-2)
Go Colts? Idk.
14. Los Angeles Rams +13
(5-2)
Okay, finally a win not against the NFC East.
15. San Francisco 49ers
(4-3)
This team is the most resilient in the NFL.
16. Miami Dolphins
(3-3)
Excited to see a Tua led NFL game.
17. Carolina Panthers
(3-4)
Teddy Bridgewater played well on the bright side.
18. Seattle Seahawks -15
(5-1)
Shoutout D.K. Metcalf.
19. Philadelphia Eagles +1
(2-4-1)
Doesn't matter, they are in the NFC East.
20. New York Giants -1
(1-6)
Doesn't matter, they are in the NFC East.
21. Washington +7
(2-5)
Doesn't matter, they are in the NFC East.
22. New England Patriots
(2-4)
Whew, the wheels are falling off so so fast.
23. Green Bay Packers
(5-1)
Doesn't hide last week's debacle.
24. Atlanta Falcons
(1-6)
Well at least the lead wasn't held long at all this time.
25. Cincinnati Bengals
(1-5-1)
Joe Burrow fan page.
27. Chicago Bears -13
(5-2)
Okay yeah this is not a good team.
28. Dallas Cowboys -7
(2-5)
Tears for Dak Prescott.
29. Los Angeles Chargers
(2-4)
Justin Herbert for the hall of fame, I don't care, induct him now.
30. Minnesota Vikings
(1-5)
Here we go again.
31. Houston Texans
(1-6)
Shoutout Bill O'Brien.
32. Jacksonville jaguars
(1-6)
Aw man, not Gardner Minshew.
