2019 NFL Power Rankings: Week Ten

11/06/2019

Here at the ICT Zone, our power rankings are based on a very simple philosophy. "To be the man you gotta beat the man", if a lower ranked team beats a higher ranked team, then the two teams automatically swap spots regardless of results from prior weeks. Here are the changes for Week 10 of the NFL season.

For the first time in weeks, we have a new top 3. Last week, the Colts were first, the Packers were second and the Patriots were third. All three teams lost this week which means they swap spots. The Steelers took advantage of Brissett's injury and jumped to first while the Chargers picked up their first big win of the season. Don't want to say the Patriots got exposed but we did tell you they had not played a top offense all season and when they did well they lost. The schedule only gets tougher so we'll see if this defense is for real.

Meanwhile at the bottom of the power rankings, we have a new worst team for the first time all season. The Dolphins ended their winless season at the expense of the New York Jets which now makes the Jets the worst team in the NFL.

Six teams get a bye week coming up with the Broncos, Patriots, Eagles, Redskins, Jaguars, and Texans all getting the week off.

1. Pittsburgh Steelers +18

(4-4)

The Steelers are somehow back in the playoff race and that is thanks to Tomlin.

2. Los Angeles Chargers +6

(4-5)

It may be too late to turn this season around.

3. Baltimore Ravens +4

(6-2)

Lamar Jackson is the real deal.

4. New Orleans Saints

(7-1)

The Teddy Bridgewater strut is worth mentioning.

5. Kansas City Chiefs +9

(6-3)

The Chiefs look like super bowl contenders after surviving without Mahomes.

6. San Francisco 49ers

(8-0)

The 49ers have the best defense in the NFL, not the Patriots.

7. New England Patriots -4

(8-1)

Last week we told you they did not play a real offense yet, this week they gave up 37

8. Green Bay Packers -6

(7-2)

That loss was not great for a team that was on a roll.

9. Houston Texans

(6-3)

Anything can happen with Deshaun Watson.

10. Oakland Raiders

(4-4)

The Raiders are impressive despite the record.

11. Philadelphia Eagles

(5-4)

Carson Wentz needs to do more.

12. Carolina Panthers

(5-3)

This Cam Newton thing isn't going away but they bought time with the IR.

13. Detroit Lions

(3-4-1)

Matt Stafford needs a better situation.

14. Minnesota Vikings -9

(6-3)

The Vikings are just good enough to be a great team but not much else.

15. Denver Broncos +2

(3-6)

The Broncos are figuring things out but they still need a franchise quarterback.

16. Tennessee Titans

(4-5)

Fitting that the league's most average team is ranked 16th of 32 teams.

17. Cleveland Browns -2

(2-6)

This turned ugly real fast.

18. Seattle Seahawks

(7-2)

The Seahawks almost lost at home . . . again . . . to the Bucs, this team is flawed.

19. Indianapolis Colts -18

(5-3)

This season maybe over if Brissett can't return soon.

20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

(2-6)

Mike Evans needs a better team but he won't find one.

21. Dallas Cowboys

(5-3)

The Cowboys are back on the right track.

22. Arizona Cardinals

(3-5-1)

It's a shame they play in the NFL's toughest division.

23. Jacksonville Jaguars

(4-5)

The Jaguars will be irrelevant again real soon.

24. Buffalo Bills +7

(6-2)

The Bills are not a good team.

25. Chicago Bears

(3-5)

This season is unraveling at record speeds.

26. New York Giants

(2-7)

The Giants could be good by 2021, or not.

27. Los Angeles Rams

(5-3)

Jalen Ramsey and this defense have a lot of work to do.

28. Miami Dolphins +4

(1-7)

The Dolphins are no longer winless and that deserves a celebration.

29. Atlanta Falcons

(1-7)

This team should not be 1 and 7, we need answers.

30. Cincinnati Bengals

(0-8)

The Bengals are still winless . . . Please trade AJ Green.

31. Washington -7

(1-8)

Dwayne Haskins is already showing signs of improvement.

32. New York Jets -4

(1-7)

The Jets are now the new worst team in the NFL.

The month of December is giving us non stop boxing, with an event every weekend until Christmas Day. We started this cold month hot with three world title fights on December seventh, with Richardson Hitchins (19-0, 7 KOs) defeating Liam Paro (25-1, 15 KOs) in a majority decision win to claim the IBF Super Lightweight world title in Puerto Rico....

Another MLS draft is upon us, bringing back fiery debates about whether there is still any value in the system or if it is a complete and utter waste of time. The franchises themselves have long signaled where they stand in that argument. For one, the growing trend of GMs declining to select a player prompted several changes, such as...
