2019 CFB Upset Picks and Rankings: Week 15

12/03/2019

Week 15 of our CFB rankings and Upset Picks. Our criteria is very simple, to be the man you gotta beat the man, if a lower ranked team beats a higher ranked team, then the two teams automatically swap spots regardless of prior results.

The College Football Playoff picture is very clear now after Alabama took their second L of the season. We saw the upset coming when we named Auburn as one of our likely upsets last week. The other big result was Oklahoma giving themselves an outsiders chance of getting into the CFB playoffs but one loss may be too many for a BIG 12 Team. As far as our top 25, Kansas State moves back into the top 5 and Auburn and Alabama swap spots after the Iron Bowl.

This week is championship week which means upsets galore. For our first upset we give you Oregon over Utah. Oregon are out of the playoff race after looking in from the outside all season, I fully expect them to take on a, if we can't do it then no else can, attitude as they knock Utah out of the playoffs this weekend. Louisiana over Appalachian State. The two teams met earlier this season and that was closely contested loss for Louisiana, since then all they have done is won six games in a row. Cincinnati over Memphis. Memphis are 10 point favorites probably because they won last week's matchup against Cincinnati by 10 points. However, I tend to lean towards the team that lost the first matchup when there's a close turnaround. That's just how it works.

If you are a United States Men's National Team fan, I have some good news. This is the worst the national team will ever be. I am serious. The talent coming down the pipeline, and more importantly, the systems developing those talents, are increasingly on par with elite global standards.
